FAQs
Are your classes beginner friendly?
Absolutely. All our classes are suitable for beginners, and if there’s anything you’re not completely comfortable with then our instructors will offer modifications. Not sure where to start? Feel free to message us and we’ll recommend the best sessions for you.
Is there parking?
Yes, there’s free on-site parking available right outside the gym.
Do I need to be fit to join?
Not at all, we welcome all abilities and fitness levels. Our classes are designed to help you build strength and confidence at your own pace.
Do men go to the gym?
Jodie Anne Fitness is a female-friendly space, designed to be empowering, welcoming and safe for all women. The majority of our classes and group training sessions are female-only. In the interest of inclusivity, men are welcome to some of our classes, but if you want a man-free experience (we get it), message us to find out which classes are 100% women only.
I’m nervous about joining — any tips?
That’s completely normal! We know how daunting it can feel when you join a new gym or start a fitness journey, but we’re a really welcoming community at JAF. We promise you won’t feel nervous for long.
If you're a newbie, we recommend arriving a few minutes early so you can meet the class instructor and get settled. Feel free to let us know it’s your first time – we’ll look after you.
What should I wear?
Any comfortable gym or activewear. Trainers are fine for most classes, though some sessions (like yoga and Pilates) can be done barefoot or in socks.
Do I need my own equipment?
No, we provide all the equipment you’ll need. Just bring yourself and your water bottle.

Where do I wait for classes?
Please wait in the seating area at reception until your instructor calls you through. Feel free to grab a bottle of water or take a selfie by the flower wall while you wait!
What do I need to bring?
Just yourself! We have all the equipment needed for our classes and personal training sessions. Just make sure you wear comfortable activewear and bring a water bottle.

Is there somewhere to refill my water bottle?
Yes, we have a fresh water on site so you can top up your bottle before, during or after class.
Forgot your bottle? We’ve all been there. Just help yourself to bottled water from our fridge in reception.
Is there disabled access?
Absolutely – the gym is fully accessible and we have step-free access throughout. If you have any specific access needs, feel free to get in touch beforehand so we can help.
Are there lockers?
We don’t have lockers, but you’re welcome to bring bags and jackets into the gym and leave them in our cloakroom area.
Are there showers?
Yes, we have clean, well-equipped shower facilities that you’re welcome to use after your session.

Can I use the gym outside of classes?
